Oubliette is provided by the owner of this website. By using the website or the extension you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.

What Oubliette does

Oubliette hides posts from accounts you choose, on your screen only. Hiding is cosmetic and local to your browser: the accounts are not blocked, muted or reported, they are not notified, and nothing is sent to Facebook, Instagram or X. Anyone you hide can still see and interact with your content. If you need protection from someone, use the platform’s own block and report tools.

No affiliation

Oubliette is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Meta, Facebook, Instagram, X or Twitter. Those sites change often, so hiding may occasionally miss posts or stop working until the extension is updated.

Sharing lists

  • Lists are for hiding engagement farming, spam and similar content you do not want to see.
  • Do not use lists to harass, target or defame people, and do not put private information in names, descriptions or notes.
  • Public lists are reviewed by moderators before they appear in the directory. Moderators may reject or unlist a list, remove individual accounts from it, or delete it, and will tell you why when they reject it.
  • You are responsible for the lists you publish. Anyone with the link can see shared lists.
  • If you think a list breaks these rules, use the Report button on its page.

Your account

Keep access to your sign-in account secure. You can revoke connected browsers and delete your lists from your dashboard, and ask us to delete your account by contacting gcollet9@hotmail.fr. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.

If you choose a nickname, it is public. Don’t use your real name or someone else’s, and don’t pick one that is offensive or impersonates a person, a brand or Oubliette’s moderators. Moderators may remove a nickname that breaks these rules.

No warranty

Oubliette is provided “as is”, free of charge, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from its use.
